Hidden Water Leak Means Demolition
The water dripped for days under the storage area of this staircase in a Levittown home. The unnoticed water wicked up into the drywall, and our SERVPRO crew performed a controlled demolition. We made the cuts at the 2-foot mark to utilize several panels of sheetrock. The neat job made the drywall taping and finishing easier, less time to reconstruct, and less cost for our customers. We removed the strip of carpet to dry in another area, thus reducing the overall drying time while preventing secondary water damage. The centrifugal air mover is completing the drying cycle of the water damage restoration service. We monitor the moisture content with devices and release the home when goals have been achieved.
