Levittown Water Damaged Wall
The seepage from the rainwater soaked the bay window area of this home in Levittown. The damaged sheetrock, as shown in the Before Photo, was ready for controlled demolition. The After Photo illustrates the reasons for this removal. The brick front and the studs and fur strips were soaked with water. We protected the carpeting as we worked the wet area, careful not to create further damage and expense for our customers. The drying machines used were heated air movers and several desiccant dehumidifiers. We monitored the drying with moisture probes, and after several days, the moisture content returned to standard levels. The new wall can now be installed after spraying an antifungal agent to ensure that mold spores do not germinate and create new damage. "Like it never even happened."
